Legendary Ultrarunner Valmir Nunes first won the 100k World Championship in 1991 as well as setting the World Record in 6 hours 18 Min 9 sec. In 2001 Nunes was victorious at the 2001 Spartathlon He holds the course record at the Badwater Ultramarathon, in a staggering time of 22 hours 51 min 29 seconds.
